We participated in a highly intensive Java Bootcamp sponsored by The Manpower Group and facilitated by Freethink Software Developers. The program was designed to prepare participants for the workforce, and included a curriculum covering version control, security, the Spring framework, and the Oracle OCA Java exam. Over the course of the bootcamp, I had the opportunity to contribute to the development of a web application, which aimed to coordinate team schedules and display electrical blackout periods in a specific area or district. The primary focus of the bootcamp was to help us build a strong foundation in the Java programming language and work towards becoming work-ready.

During my 36-month tenure, I was tasked with performing valets, minor and major services, clutch replacements, diagnostics, and engine overhauls, among other duties. At K&N the tasks were more specialized working with industrial machinery on primarily cyclinder heads and engine blocks. I also gained certification as a Bosch (T)FSI Technician.
